The Sierra Leone Football Association in partnership with UEFA Assist has today Thursday March 2nd successfully concluded a four-day training workshop on League Development for Premier League Clubs and SLFA Management staff at the Atlantic Lumley Hotel in Freetown.
UEFA Assist’s knowledge-sharing program was aimed at transforming the country’s local league structure with specific focus on, among other areas, governance, revenue generation, branding and fan engagement.
SLFA President Thomas Daddy Brima and his Executive Committee Members, including the Vice President 1 Harold Nat-Johnson, also witnessed strategic sessions of the training and assured the UEFA experts of a thorough implementation of all plans developed from the workshop.
Certificates of participation signed by the General Secretary of UEFA Theodore Theodoridis were awarded to all club representatives and SLFA officials who actively took part in the workshop.
The League Development Program is one of the two developmental projects recently acquired by the Sierra Leone Football Association from UEFA Assist. The second- Female Football Development is expected to be implemented in June this year.
As a token of appreciation for their great work and support, the UEFA facilitators Stuart Larman and Kenny Macleod were each presented with the official Leone Stars home kits and a pair of locally made garment.
