If President Julius Maada Bio has a conscience, he would be having Sleepless nights because of the mess he has caused for the people of Sierra Leone.

When he wanted the Presidency, he made all such campaign promises to the people of Sierra Leone even on things he could not do.

As that is not enough; after President Bio has enriched himself and his family since he became President – he does not take the people of Sierra Leone seriously anymore. Hence the reason the ECSL is making fools of the electorates concerning the collection of Voter ID cards.

On January 11, 2023, The Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL), announced that by February 2023, it will commence the rolling out of voter identity cards to citizens for the forthcoming June 2023 elections.

Unfortunately, it didn’t happen, as a result, it sent out a press release, and rescheduled the date for collection to March 17th – 26th, 2023.

A week before the collection date another notice was sent out rescheduling the date to April 7th -16th, 2023.

By now those cards should have been available, unfortunately, the ECSL keeps postponing the collection date for reasons it could not explain to the electorates, which is a complete manifestation of a carefree attitude – the hallmark of the Bio Presidency.

In another development couple of days ago Monday 13th March 2023, news broke out on social media that Professor Kelfala Murana Kallon nicknamed ‘the desk economist’ who has wreaked serious havoc on the economy for five years has been removed as Central Bank Governor of Sierra Leone.

The less than five years of President Bio Paopa’s government misrule and economic mismanagement since 2018 have created considerable suffering for the people of Sierra Leone.

The APC government left the exchange rate in 2018 at Le 500: $1, evidently in less than five years under the watchful eyes of President Bio, and his Paopa administration the current rate is at NLe 2,120 to a $ 1.00

The astronomical rise in the interest rate has put untold suffering on small businesses, and by extension increased, the poverty rate in the country, hence Sierra Leone has become like Hell on earth.

It is worth noting that under the economic governance of the current political administration nicknamed ‘RANKANOMICS’ by some media critics, Sierra Leone ranks at 180 out of 187 of the poorest countries in the world according to the Human Development Index (UNDP 2022).

The bad governance under President Bio has made Sierra Leone one of the poorest countries in the World, and the third worse country in the World where people do not have enough food to eat.

Ordinary Sierra Leoneans have seen how the SLPP government under the watch of President Bio has transformed itself into a high-profile cartel that has been busy loathing the country’s meagre resources, for which Sierra Leone is now on the Map as one of the most corrupt countries in the World.

In conclusion, Sierra Leone Is a rich country bountifully endowed with enormous natural resources, but the SLPP government has made its citizenries into poor people, where the youth do not have jobs, and the teachers, nurses, police, army and public servants are poorly paid.

In that light, Dr Samura Kamara is ready to clear the mess and build back Sierra Leone so that Sierra Leone will become great again where youth will have no problem getting jobs, Corruption will become thing of the past, good governance, good healthcare system, frequent electricity Supply, sound economy will become a hallmark for the Dr Samura Kamara and Hon Bah presidency.
