The Local Unit Commander (LUC) Bonthe Division Augustine Kabia has informed this medium that police have last Friday 7 July 2023, arrested and detained four suspects in the custody for disorderly conduct at the Matru Jong market.
According to police, they identified themselves as Sogbini Soja Team Ghanaians who stormed the Mattru Jong market square and ordered traders to close market and homes; a situation that the police says disrupted businesses on that faithful day.
Police Operations Team, upon receiving the information, a team led by DSP Michael Amadu Sesay, alongside Chief Inspector Mohamed Sheriff immediately responded to and quell down the public disorder.
Police also reported the destructions of market tables during the disorderly.
The four suspects whose names were not mentioned by the police are helping the police with investigation.
