Former Tottenham defender Steven Caulker has received a surprise call-up to Sierra Leone’s squad for the upcoming international fixtures.The 30-year-old Leone Stars captain has officially confirmed his call-up to represent Leone Stars in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers scheduled for June, facing Djibouti and Burkina Faso.
Upon receiving the news, he expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for this great opportunity and stating that: “It’s a great honour to once again be called upon to represent Sierra Leone,” he said.
He continued that they had shown great trust in him to lead the Nation despite not having played as much football as he would have liked in the past 12 months.

The former Fenerbahce defender who spent a season-long loan with Gaziantep F noted that they had two important World Cup qualifiers coming up in June that he determined to be fit and ready for!
