Qcell is one of the leading and reliable telecommunication companies in Sierra Leone; and its financial service- Qmoney, has remained a huge success story not in only Freetown but also in remote communities.
Citizens have showered praises on the Qmoney service, calling it a blessing in disguise.
In more than one year since the inception of the Qmoney service to Sierra Leoneans, Qmoney is now a great pride for all regarding financial activities in the country. QCell, the company as a whole, has been competing in a very healthy manner; and the company is also bringing effective telecommunications network systems to every corner in the country.
Saidu Fofanah, a business man at Free Street, noted that before the introduction of Qmoney, transferring money from one individual to the other was a very huge challenge- the charges high to the point that they found it very challenging.
Saidu said that the challenge of establishing a complete banking facility in the country, especially in remote areas, was quite expensive. Even with bigger towns and cities, he said the dynamics inherent in the traditional practice was increasingly scaring away people with very busy schedules to go to the bank and engage in valuable transactions; and with Qcell and its Qmoney Financial facilities, things have been going on smooth and easy for them. ” With Qcell and their Qmoney Financial facilities, things have been going on smooth and easy for us- the common man, because other mobile companies used to take huge sums from every transaction we make. But, Qmoney is not like them; it’s simple and affordable for every Sierra Leonean in the country,” he said.
Hassan Turay, who works at the Sierra Leone Fishing Company, stated that he has been a Qcell subscriber since 2019 when the company came to Sierra Leone, and Qcell has done a lot for not only him but also for the country as a whole.
He said Qcell is a true partner in development, and that the company has done a lot and is poised to continue doing so to complement Government’s efforts in enhancing sustainable national development.
Turay said others should follow the footsteps of Qcell in trying to deepen development in the country, adding that Qmoney is a blessing for Sierra Leone, and people should make use of it.
According to him, the free sending and receiving money without extra charges was a surprise to him; and he revealed he suspected it to be fraudulent until he did a transaction for himself.
Hassan also revealed that he has diligently been with Qcell for some time now.
He encouraged other Qcell subscribers to continue participating or making use of the Qmoney service, which is affordable and reliable in the country.
The introduction of Qmoney in the country is an added advantage for citizens in the country because the company has made financial transition easier for everybody.
In all of these, the introduction of Qmoney clearly manifests that the Qcell Mobile Company is not only promoting their value-added services in the country but also bringing innovative promotions to lovely subscribers by giving them the opportunity to lighten their financial burden over the years.
QCell’s unwavering commitment to provide accessible and user-friendly financial solutions to its valued customers and the wider population is top-notch in the country.
