After a successful election, president of the Sierra Leone Taekwondo Association, Oness Abayomi Johnson on 15 July 2022 concluded a two-day visit to the North Western region of, Kafu Bullom chiefdom in Port Loko district.
The visit was undertaken to foster the development of Taekwondo Martial Arts sport in Port Loko, and help raise awareness about the sporting discipline at school levels as well as help in reviving it with the military camp in Lungi.
Gerald L. A. Davies, North West Chairman for the Sierra Leone Taekwondo Association thanked pupils and parents for their warm embrace of the sport in just their first engagement with them.
He reaffirmed that the newly elected administration visit to different schools in the Port Loko district as part of their efforts to catch young Martial Arts sports talents. He disclosed plans to tour the entire country to spread the sport to different schools countrywide.
