The years of our present democratic political term are fast approaching their final end; the hope of the people to choose a new leadership for the next democratic term is becoming consciously obvious. Moreover, the people, having been sick and tired of the status quo of our country’s political climate, by all indications, are craving for a credible leadership.
The signs are well-seen that the present government had lost the trust of the people and many international schools of thought, even before the famous 2023 general elections. So the present government remaining in power after the 2023 election for another term has left the people searching for a political saviour to redeem them from the clutches of paopanisim (bonds of chains), more so, when this era forced on the people has caused, and is causing severe hardship for the masses – worsening every coming day – and when the opposition leaders the people expected to protect their votes in the 2023 elections did nothing, but rather worked in concordance with them to continue a second term after credible indications that the people rejected them in the ballot box.
However, all is not lost! Someone in the person of Dr Ibrahim Bangura (DIB) – a good contributor to international politics – a man who has made impacts on world politics – has emerged as a saviour to rescue a sinking political landscape, and giving new hope to a people abandoned recklessly to suffer the brunt of the egregious errors of the 2023 elections.
According to what the annals of history have taught us, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura aka DIB is a seasoned political consultant that has tremendously contributed to governance reforms in both developed and underdeveloped nations – the European Union, African Union, and Economic Committee of West African States – being great beneficiaries of his consultancy. No wonder the people breathed a sigh of relief when the news of DIB’s arrival to participate in the political scene of the country broke out to them.
For the people, who understand and can interpret the times, have built an unwavering confidence in DIB, they are now joining forces, having learnt he is poised to vie for the flagbearership of the most popular political party in the country, the All People’s Congress (APC).
A ray of hope for the country’s most evident political need has started from the horizon – the quest for change long-awaited. People, far and wide, are joining the train of this great DIB in one accord, with the conviction that the expected political change will manifest from a DIB leadership. With this in mind, the people say the closer the national polls come, the more they are determined to change the country’s leadership through the ballot box, with DIB the trusted one for inevitable victory. Hence, the saying, “The closer we are, the more our confidence,’ has become so common throughout the four corners of the country like common salt.
