In politics, some moments feel scripted by destiny. For Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, those moments have come in waves: a crown at Fourah Bay, a coronation in Bo, showers of blessing in Lunsar, and now, in Mambolo, a staff of authority sealed by a rainbow.
This is more than ceremony—it is prophecy. And delegates of the APC would do well to pay attention.
Bangura’s message in Mambolo was deeply human. He spoke of family, of never abandoning one’s roots. He paid tribute to former President Ernest Bai Koroma and Ambassador Alimamy “Petito” Koroma, acknowledging their service with humility and gratitude. He even extended a hand of respect to his rival, Honourable Bai Mahmoud Bangura, calling him a brother, not an enemy.
This goes beyond the usual politics. It is statesmanship.
The women of Sierra Leone already power his movement, the people march in his convoys, and the heavens themselves seem to confirm his path.
Delegates, the APC can not afford division. The real contest lies not within but against the hardship imposed by misrule. United under Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, a son of the soil, a man of humility, a leader of destiny—victory will not only be possible. It will be inevitable.
The rainbow over Mambolo has spoken.
