Africell- Sierra Leone, one of the country’s leading telecommunications and internet providers, has officially launched its Africell Valentine’s promo themed “Bringing Love to Your Doorstep.”

The campaign, which commenced on February 6, will run until February 14, 2025, bringing surprises, gifts, and memorable experiences to lucky customers across Freetown and other locations.

The promotion is designed to celebrate love by engaging Africell subscribers in fun activities, giving them the chance to win smartphones, teddy bears, airtime, and other special Valentine’s surprises.

Some lucky winners will also experience grand surprise deliveries right at their doorstep, complete with a full band to create a festive atmosphere.

According to Abdul Karim Sesay, Media Manager of Africell, the campaign would feature street activations, a float parade, and home deliveries, all aimed at making Valentine’s Day extra special for subscribers.   “We want to create unforgettable moments for our customers,” he stated. “The presence of Afrimoney and Africell sales agents, influencers, and Slingshot vehicles will add energy and excitement, making this an activation that resonates deeply with our subscribers.”

He said the activation is designed to achieve multiple objectives, which includes to boost brand love and engagement by making Africell an integral part of Valentine’s celebrations, increase visibility and sales of Africell and Afrimoney services through direct interactions, enhance social media presence with real-time content, live updates, and user-generated engagement, and strengthen customer loyalty by rewarding subscribers in a fun and memorable way.

Africell’s Street Activation and Float Parade will take place across several key locations in Freetown, bringing the campaign closer to customers. The activation will be held at the following locations: Lodge Roundabout, Model New Road, Wellington, Waterloo Market, Bottom Mango, Saint John, Circular Road, Calaba Town, 555 Junction, Lumley, Campbell Street, Odeon, Jui Junction, Camp Junction, Funkia Junction and Dwarzak Junction.

One of the lucky winners, Gibao Laggah, was ecstatic after receiving an Africell smartphone as part of the activation. Expressing his gratitude, he praised the initiative, describing it as a remarkable effort by Africell to appreciate its customers.  “I never expected to receive such an amazing surprise,” he said. “Africell has truly made this Valentine’s season special for us. This smartphone means a lot to me, and I appreciate how they are giving back to their subscribers.”

He also encouraged other customers to continue using Africell services, emphasizing the company’s commitment to rewarding loyalty and engagement.

With this year’s Valentine’s Activation, Africell continues to solidify its position as a customer-centric brand, ensuring that subscribers feel valued beyond just telecommunications services. The blend of entertainment, surprises, and direct engagement with customers aligns with the company’s mission to bring people closer through innovation and rewarding experiences.

As the activation continues, more subscribers will have the opportunity to participate, win prizes, and enjoy the unforgettable moments Africell has planned for them.

The campaign is set to culminate on February 14, 2025, in what promises to be a grand and love-filled conclusion.
