Let president Bio continue to travel, said the newly appointed Director of Presidential Communications, Michael Berewa, arguing that President Julius Maada must keep travelling.Berewa said travelling is part of the job of President Bio, and it is part of his terms of reference.

He argued that it is cheaper to travel from Freetown to New York, in the United States, than to be travelling every weekend to Makeni to spend billions of Leones there without any dividen to the country. The Director of Presidential Communications said President Bio always travel with less than six people in his delegation. Michael Berewa who is notorious for always attacking at critical views on social media about president Bio’s frequent overseas travelling, and government’s frivolous spending of taxpayers’ monies on such trips, made the remarks in a sweating interview with African Young Voices Media Empire’s Hot Seat talk show host, Amadu Lamrana Bah. He told Hot Seat that people are not against President Bio, nor do they really hate the SLPP party, but they just feel left out by the government.

Asked if his appointment has not increased the wage bill, the Director of Presidential   Communications replied: “My appointment adds nothing to the wage bill. The wage bill is well controlled, and it is not bloated.”
