As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to be always reach out to communities and individuals with support as an when relevant, the United Bank for Africa Sierra Leone UBASL has Wednesday 21st December distributed assorted food items to over one thousand needy individuals and families at different branches across the country.

“As we continue the season of giving, the UBA Foundation has provided assorted food items to 1000 people at our different branches in the country”, said Marketing and Corporate Communications Department UBASL, and adds; “In Freetown, our headquarters donation was done at the UBA Foundation FCC Garden at Wallace Johnson Street”.

This is part of the Foundation’s commitment to giving back to host communities and also providing assistants to the underprivileged in communities where the bank operates.

According to the Bank’s MCC Department, UBA Foundation is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the UBA Group. The Foundation is committed to the socio-economic betterment of the communities in which the bank operates, focusing on development in the areas of Education, Environment, Economic Empowerment, and Special Projects. The UBA Foundation was incorporated in January 2004.

In a bid to give back to our host communities, we offered meals to those in need. Staff members volunteered to serve food and drinks to the needy, disclosed the MCC Department.
