The bank was recognized as a key partner advancing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through initiatives like the National Essay Competition, Read Africa Project, and the One Million Trees Group wide initiative Project, as the bank in Sierra Leone has launched its over 3,000 trees in Malempeh Village with the Auradicals Foundation.

UBA’s Sierra Leone MD/CEO, Mohamed Alhajie Samoura, highlighted the bank’s strong commitment to education, youth empowerment, environmental efforts, and social responsibility, including a $150,000 COVID-19 donation and digital innovation investments.

UN agencies and partners reaffirmed their collaboration for achieving the 2030 SDGs, celebrating 80 years of global impact and strong partnerships for sustainable development.
