Fayia William Sellu. My name is Alieu iscandari i am a Sierra Leonean who is in private legal practice in the state of California USA fir almost 28 years. I am an international Human Rights advocate with specific emphasis on Human Rights violations in my country of birth Sierra Leone.
I understand that you have ordered my niece MOSETTA DAVIES to be arrested and detained at the CID.
I understand that while she was there she has been sexually violated by officers under your command.
I understand that during her present detention she has been subjected to physical mental and emotional torture, including threats of being subjected to forceful clitoral circumcision.
I understand that she was the victim of an entrapment scheme orchestrated by you to have her arrested because you BELIEVED that she “set” you up to be videoed and these videos if made public will be shameful and embarrassing to you and your position as the Inspector General of Police.
I intend to instruct the legal team I’m putting together to obtain cell phone records via subpoena from your phone and her phone to confirm the call you made to her on the day of her arrest instructing her to meet someone you had assigned in the area of China House and the Kingharman Road and Old Railway Line intersection.
I am informed and believe that her cell phone was stolen from her by officers under your command.
I understand that during her arrest, officers under your direct command failed to protect her while she was in their custody, in that they claimed she was a child abductor and allowed the citizens in the area to pounce on her and physically assault and commit battery upon her person.
I understand that her clothes was torn of her body exposing her nakedness in a public space.
I understand that as a result of the violence perpetrated upon her during her arrest by officers under your direct command she has suffered physical injuries to her person.
I understand that since her arrest she has been denied access to medical care, legal representation and family visits.
I have spoken to a plethora of persons who witnessed the arrest, and have provided me with video footage.
I have also spoken to a number of people who have intimate knowledge that you had a prior romantic relationship with my niece Mosetta Davies.
My investigations have further lead me to believe that Mosetta’s arrest and present detention which is clearly in violation of the constitution and laws of Sierra Leone may not be unrelated to an attempt to extort money from you by two young ladies who have since fled to Guinea, who were introduced to you by said Mosetta Davies for the purpose of your sexual gratification.
I find the conduct as outlined above to be an ABUSE OF YOUR office as Inspector General of the police of Sierra Leone.
I have made more than a dozen attempts to contact you via this phone number and you have failed to pick up the phone. I am left with no alternative but to write this note to you whom I will hold private for a period of 24 hours after which I will send this letter to the office of the president of Sierra Leone and post it publicly.
By this letter I’m asking that you immediately order the release of my niece Mosetta Davies WITHOUT BAIL or have her be charged to court as the constitution and the laws of Sierra Leone dictate.
As inspector General of the Sierra Leone police you have a duty to uphold the law and your failure to do so in this instance constitutes a dereliction of duty and an abuse of your office.
I am available for a meet and confer on this issue. I have put in place a team of lawyers who will see that justice be done for Mosetta Davies who has been wronged by no less a person than he who is under a duty to protect her rights.
I urge you to pick up the phone and contact me at your convenience. You have 24 hours to comply.
Respectfully.
