The Vice President of Sierra Leone, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, has donated water and assorted food items to Muslim Jamaats in Bo City as part of activities marking the celebration of Eid al Fitr.

The donations were made at key prayer locations including the Southern Arena, Bo Mini Stadium, and the New Site praying field, where large numbers of Muslims gathered to observe the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The initiative was coordinated by the regional and Bo District teams supporting the Vice President. Among those who played leading roles in ensuring the smooth distribution of the items were Mr Joseph Maada Kpulun, Mr Gassimu Mallah, and grassroots mobilizer Mr Fatorma Musa. Their efforts ensured that the items reached worshippers in an organized and timely manner.

The gesture was widely welcomed by members of the Muslim community, many of whom expressed appreciation for the Vice President’s continued support and recognition of their role in national development. The donated items were shared among worshippers shortly after prayers, contributing to the festive spirit of the occasion.

Speaking during the engagement, Vice President Juldeh Jalloh extended his heartfelt appreciation to the Muslim Jamaat for their consistent prayers for the peace, stability, and progress of Sierra Leone. He noted that such prayers remain vital as the country continues to navigate its development path.

He also acknowledged the prayers offered for President Julius Maada Bio and himself, emphasizing that leadership requires not only policy direction but also spiritual support from citizens. According to him, the unity demonstrated during religious celebrations like Eid reflects the strength and resilience of the nation.

The Vice President encouraged Muslims to continue upholding the values of discipline, sacrifice, and compassion learned during Ramadan. He stressed that these principles are essential for fostering peaceful coexistence and national unity.

Community leaders at the various prayer grounds commended the Vice President for the timely intervention, describing it as a meaningful show of solidarity with the Muslim faithful. They reiterated their commitment to continue praying for the country’s leadership and the well being of all citizens.

As celebrations continued across Bo City, the donation added to the sense of togetherness and shared purpose that defines Eid al Fitr. The event also highlighted the importance of community engagement and support during significant religious occasions.

The Vice President reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with all communities across the country, noting that inclusive development remains a key priority for the government.
