On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the honorable Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, paid a visit to the Community Health Foundation Medical Center in Tonkolili District, Mile 91, Sierra Leone. His visit was prompted by his overnight stay at the Central University in Mile 91.

The Vice President thanked the Community Health Foundation Medical Hospital’s amenities in his opening remarks and described how the facility has made multiple quick advancements since its founding in 2022.

“I first visited this facility when it was under construction. I am very pleased to come here today and see that the facility has been opened and they are providing medical care and treatment for people.” VP Juldeh asserted.

Vice President Juldeh praised Madam Linda Muckson Sesay, a young Sierra Leonean living in the United States and serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Community Health Foundation Medical Centre, for organizing the hospital’s lab, exam room, theater, male and female wards, and other facilities in a well-organized manner.

According to Vice President Juldeh, the Community Health Foundation Hospital in Mile 91 will continue to receive support in the area of health under the direction of His Excellency Dr. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio.

“When we came as a government, the budgetary allocation for health was 6% and we have progressively increased it to 11.5%. And today, we are seeing the result at the CHF Hospital. We have reduced the maternity deaths drastically and facility like this is part of that wider contribution. I will make sure that this facility is supported by our government.” VP Juldeh said.

The vice president concluded by saying that the government may offer further support to the facilities and that he has spoken with the CHF hospital’s medical superintendent.

In his remarks, Dr. Adebo Ichekpa Noah, the medical superintendent of CHF Hospital, expressed his appreciation and gladness for the visit of Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, vice president of the

Republic of Sierra Leone. According to him, the vice president’s visit to Community Health Foundation Hospital was a milestone for the hospital’s healthcare system as well as the Mile 91 community at large.

” It is a great opportunity to have the second citizen of the country in our health centre. We appreciate the visit of the His excellency the Vice President of Republic of Sierra Leone” Dr. Noah said.

Some significant issues in the hospital were identified by Dr. Noah. He appealed that the hospital’s regular operations are seriously hampered by the electrical

issue and the provision of free healthcare services.

“Our contribution in prevention of diseases and also reducing maternal deaths has made increased drastically in this community” Dr. Noah ended

According to CEO Linda Muckson Sesay Community Health Foundation Inc. which is located at 2 Silicon Hills is a non-profitable organization in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation. It was established to provide access to affordable and quality maternal healthcare for communities in Sierra Leone. It mission is to giving hope to pregnant women, children, and people in need and around the communities it serves by motivating and providing charitable interventions.
