Police in Waterloo in the Western Rural District have last Friday 1 September, 2023 raided and raise to the ground fifty ghettos at Peppeh Wharf, Tombo on the outskirts of Freetown.

The raid was conducted in an operations led by the Division’s Local Unit Commander – LUC, Chief Superintendent Police (CSP) Ibrahim M. Sama.

During the raid, fifty ghettos used to house scores of notorious able-bodied young men and women to trade illicit drugs on a daily basis were demolished, with support from community volunteers. Tombo people lauded the efforts of the police.
