The Power Plant is projected to benefit approximately 900,000 additional consumers, providing them with reliable and affordable energy.

The project cost US$412 million and it is mainly financed by the US International Development Finance Corporation. The ECOWAS Bank of Investment and Development (EBID) also rendered financial support to the project which further strengthens regional partnerships.

The project will create more jobs for youths, stimulate local economies, and provide a stable energy supply that will attract domestic and international investments igniting industrial growth and prosperity.

The US government and its partners registered their unwavering support for Sierra Leone’s energy aspirations and growth

Milele Energy and TCQ Power Limited, local project company CECA (SL) LTD are notable industry leaders and project sponsors.
