You can’t play politics on Foreign policies-Hon. Bangura

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in Parliament Honorable Mohamed Bangura has revealed that one cannot play politics on Foreign Policies. He made this disclosure on Tuesday 30 January 2024, in a press conference organized by the Ministry of Information and Civic Education held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relation Tower Hill in Freetown.

According to Honorable Bangura, over the years Parliament have served as an intermediary between the people and the government of Sierra Leone that is why they formed a committee of foreign affairs in parliament to oversight the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country.

He admitted that even though the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International relation had highlighted a lot of positives gains in his ministry, but noted that people should stop play politics on foreign policies in the country.

He continued that no matter what a Minister said on policies or whosoever said about certain policies in any ministries, the policies are there and nobody could downplay that fact of the policies.

He noted that there are things that needed to be done so that people will see the policies clearly, adding that those policies are seeing clearly in almost every ministries. He called on everyone to work with the government so that things would run smoothly in the country.
