Eighteen-year-old Alie Kamara a fisher man has made his first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.3 in Freetown, on a count of Larceny contrary to section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence on Wednesday 21st June 2023 at Susu village in the Western Area in Freetown stole three big size cooking pot, two small size cooking pot, three big size plastic bowls, two plastic bucket, six glass plates, six plastic plates, one aluminum cooking mortar, one dozen metal spoons all to the total sum of Three Thousand Four Hundred and Ten Leones (Le3,410) property of Wuya Kamara.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person, he pleaded not guilty.
Meanwhile the witness of the prosecution was absent, and Magistrate Bangura denied bail to the accused and sent him to the Male Correctional Center in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 28 July 2023. Sergeant 9155 Dwight Macarthy is prosecuting the matter.
