Hon. Justice Samuel Omodele Taylor of the Freetown Sexual Offences Model Court will Tuesday 14 February 2023 deliver a final Judgment on a sexual penetration involving the leader and Chairman of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray and co-accused Marion Aruni.
Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray was in August 2020 reported at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) headquarter on Pademba Road, Freetown on an allegation of sexual penetration of a girl, fifteen in Kono, eastern Sierra Leone.
He was first detained by police together with the co-accused before he was charged to court on allegedly sexual penetration.
Kamarainba Mansaray has spent nearly three years in detention at the Male Correctional Centre for alleged sexual penetration.
The two accused will be before the hon Justice Taylor on eight counts of sexual offences charges involving a minor.
It could be recalled, the accused Kamarainba Mansaray and co-made their first appearance on 18 August 2021 at the Sexual Offences Model Court in Freetown. The first accused Mohamed Kamarinba Mansaray in his defence against the allegation, presented over ten witnesses and the co-accused Marion Aruni presented three witnesses in court.
The accused were granted bail on Tuesday 7 September 2021, but the first accused was unable to meet his benchmark ordered by the court.
He was granted bail in the sum of Le100m and two sureties in like sum, but he failed to meet the bail condition, while the co-accused met her.
