A 35yr old woman found dead in a river at Kamaseh village situated on the outskirts of Kabala, Koinaduu district, northern Sierra Leone.
In response, a team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel from the Kabala Division, led by the Crime Officer, Detective Assistant Superintendent of Police (D/ASP) Mohamed Hindolo Feika, visited the crime scene together with medical practitioners from the Kabala Government Hospital.
It was then discovered to be the corpse of the 35yr old Iyeba Barrie, floating half naked with multiple wounds on the face. The corpse is now at the Kabala Government Hospital awaiting post-mortem.
Meanwhile, Alimamy Kamara of Kamaseh village who was last seen with the deceased in the morning hours of Wednesday 24 January 2024 has been placed under custody to help the police in their investigation.
