The Executive Director of the Sierra Leone Maritime Administration, Paul Sobba Massaquoi has been recently reinstated to his position as the head of SLMA following his acquittal and after he was discharged from by the High Court of Sierra Leone.
On return to office, Massaquoi was warmly welcomed by SLMA staff from all levels during a meeting held at the Administration’s conference hall a Government Wharf Freetown.
Addressing all present at the meeting with the exemption of former Acting Executive Director Ansumana Sama Gamanga, Massaquoi said that he had been reinstated by President Julius Maada Bio, after being away from the SLMA for two years.
He therefore expressed profound delight at the reception he received on his return to work saying that he has come battling with court matters but has finally come to it conclusion, with a total exoneration.
“I have finally come through it all”, he said, and acknowledged numerous prayers and support from meaningful Sierra Leonean and his staff at the SLMA.
Paul Sobba Massaquoi reassured staff of absolute safety in their jobs, nothing that they are all Sierra Leoneans, working under the leadership of President Bio, whose achievement they all should be work towards actualizing.
He said that the President’s agenda is my agenda and every one of us agenda. Remember we are all Sierra Leoneans’’, he reassured staff.
Tommy Van Gogh, the Shipping Manager, SLMA registered their collective delights to see Paul S. Massaquoi back to work at the Executive Director at SLMA. He described Massaquoi as an exemplary leader.
