Teacher, Kokie, Target, Bounce, Patrick and Alusine Koroma, an unemployed youth have made their first appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No.3 in Freetown on eight court charges to wit Public Insult and provocation, common assault, threatening language, assault occasioning to actual bodily harm and conspiracy contrary to law, wounding with intent, wounding and larceny.
According to the particulars of offence on the 27 March 2023 at 187 Bai Bureh Road the Western Area Urban in Freetown did make use of insulting and provocative words against the complainants in such a manner as would likely to provoke them to commit a breach of the peace on count two, three the accused persons on the same date and place in the public view and the presence of complainants assaulted the complainant in a manner thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm on count four at the same place and date the accused persons did make use of Threatening language against the complainants to wit “we go kill wuna” with a view to provoke them to commit a breach of the peace on count five the accused persons at the same place and date conspired with other persons unknown to Assault the complainants on count six and seven at the same date and place maliciously wounded the complainants thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm on count eight at the same place and date the accused persons stole nine Samsung phones belonging the complainants Aruna Kamara, Abdul Karim Sesay, Agnes, Isatu, Alusine Sesay, Sorie Jalloh, Ibrahim Sorie Sesay, Fatmata Wurie and James Daboh.
The charges were read and explained to the accused persons and they pleaded not guilty.
The accused persons were unrepresented.
Whilst the complainant was represented by Musa Pious Sesay Senior.
Meanwhile Magistrate Bangura refused bail and sent both accused persons to the Male Correctional Centre in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to the 11 April 2023 for further hearing.
