Ibrahim Conteh a Security made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Brima Gogra of Pademba Road court No.6 in Freetown, on a count of malicious damage contrary to Section 51 of the Malicious Damage Act 1861.
According to the particulars of offence on the 29th May 2023 at 10 Government Wharf the Western Area in Freetown maliciously damage ten corrugated iron sheets all to the total value of One Thousand Five Hundred New Leones (NLe1,500), property of Morlai Kabia.
The charge was read and explained to the accused and he pleaded guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Mohamed Kamara told the Court that the fact as charge no available records against the accused.
The accused was unrepresented by legal representative he pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy.
Due to the plea mitigation by the aaccuse, Magistrate Gogra sentenced the accused person to three months imprisonment to the Male Correctional Center in Freetown and to pay a fine of One Thousand New Leones to the State.
