The new Country Representative for Catholic Relief Service Sierra Leone (CRS-SL) on Monday 25 July 2022 called on the media for continued collaboration of mutual benefits.
Madam Jeanne Ella Andrianambinina made the call whilst addressing journalists during an introductory meet-and-greet cocktail hosted at Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel, Aberdeen, west of Freetown.
The new Country Representative expressed her profound delight for being in the country and working in Sierra Leone. Madam Jeanne Ella Andrianambinina considered the media in Sierra Leone as very much reliable partners in development, hence reassured journalists of continued collaboration, which, she observed, is very important in working with local leaders at every level.
The CRS outgoing Country Representative, Paul Emes, recalled that after five years of successful tour of duty to Sierra Leone in working in partnership with government and the media he was leaving for Sudan.
Mr Emes vividly recalled when he came to Sierra Leone shortly after the mudslide, noting that his work and services also focused on helping the poorest communities in Sierra Leone. Thus, he thanked the media for supporting CRS throughout his stay and implored journalists and the country’s media landscape to continue to stand by CRS in all its activities.
Catholic Relief Service Sierra Leone (CRS-SL) since commencing operations in Sierra Leone has continued to work with Government in diverse areas including urban resilience, health, education and a host of other sectors.
