The Clerk of Parliament, Hon. Param Umar Tarawally on Thursday 14th July 2022, on behalf of the Parliament of Sierra Leone, received ten desktop computers from one of the leading mobile telecommunication companies, Orange Sierra Leone.

In his opening statement, the Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Joseph Conteh said the donations of the computers were made to enhance the initiatives of an Open Parliament, in light of the Memorandum of Understanding between the former and the latter. According to him, the donations were made through the dynamic moves of the Hon. Clerk.

Orange Sierra Leone Head of Public Relations/ Corporate Social Responsibility, Annie Wonnie Katta expressed happiness and recalled how the donations came about. She categorically stated that they as an organization believed in digital inclusion. According to her, the donations were part of their corporate social responsibility and expressed hope for a strong relationship, relative to the MOU.
