The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) Media Officer, Waterloo Division has on Saturday 5th August 2023 informed this FORUM NEWS SL that a 25 year old commercial driver, Sahid Koroma, is currently in custody after for allegedly stabbing to death his colleague, also a driver, Alimamy Kamara for a manual button mobile phone.
Police sources disclosed the deceased borrowed Forty New Leones NLe40 to the suspect and handed over his manual bottom phone as collateral two years ago, which was never pay back.
During an argument over the said phone and money, the suspect Sahid Koroma took out a spanner and stabbed the deceased on his chest leading to his death.
The remains of the deceased had already been conveyed to the Connaught Hospital mortuary for postmortem examinations, whilst the suspect is in custody helping the police with investigations.
In another development, Police also disclosed that a two member crew was also ‘rescued’ after their sea craft helicopter crashed at the Mashehwureh village.
The police discovered a British and South Africa nationals disembarking from the ‘crashed’ sea craft helicopter that was traveling from Monrovia to the Lungi Airport in Sierra Leone before heading for Banjul, The Gambia.
