Following their 1:1 draw in the first leg of the CAF Preliminary Champions League against LISCR FC from Liberia, Bo Rangers has a huge mountain to claim in the second leg in Liberia.
This all important encounter between Bo Rangers and the Liberia International shipping and Corporate Registry Football Club (LISCR FC) in the first leg of CAF Total Energies Champions League preliminary round took place on 19 August 2023, at the Southern Arena stadium in Bo.
The match brought a lot of dignitaries and football fans together not only in Sierra Leone, but also in West Africa as a whole.
Bo Rangers took the lead in the opening second minutes of play, a goal scored by their talisman Mohamed Kabba, but LISCR FC responded in the 34 minutes by Christopher Jackson’s goal that saw the match ended in a 1:1 thriller in the first leg in Sierra Leone.
The second leg clash will be played in Liberia on the 27 August 2023, and it will be a daunting task for the Elephant of the South, taking into consideration that the Liberians were able to hold Bo Rangers to draw which was a good result for the Liberia team playing away.
According to Bo Rangers’ FC website, the result obtained was not the result they were anticipating, but promise they will put all hands on deck going into the return leg in Liberia.
‘Not the result we wanted. We however remain focused and undaunted going into the return leg on the 27 August 2023 in Liberia,’ the website stated.
However, the second leg encounter is a most win for Bo Ranger if they want to qualify for this year’s CAF Champion League. Coach Foray has a huge task on his table to accomplish because the LISCR FC team has a good record at home. But, say what you may, this is football anything can happens.
All roads lead to Liberia for this all important second leg tie on the 27 of this month.
