The technical team of the Sierra Leone Football Association has announced a 30 man home-based players to start preparation for the upcoming fixture against Guinea-Bissau.
The match between Leone stars and Guinea Bissau is scheduled to take place early September 2023.
The selection of players was done from different teams, though the Premier League Champion Bo Rangers has the highest number of called up players in the squad.
According to the list, all invited players are expected to report at the Sierra Leone Football Association-SLFA Secretariat on Monday 19 September 2023.
It could be recalled that the Sierra Leone Football Association has in a press release confirmed that Coach John Keister is still the substantive Head Coach of the Sierra Leone national team despite rumor making the rounds on social media purporting that Legendary Mohamed Kallon is the next National team Coach.
Leone Stars was drawn in group A with three-time African Champion Nigeria, Sao Tome and principle and Guinea Bissau. Sierra Leone is in the third positions after winning just one match from their open five matches with five points in Group A of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation qualifiers.
The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone has nothing to play for in this encounter because the group leader Nigeria and Guinea Bassau have already qualified for the AFCON in Cote d’Ivore
