The Sierra Leone Premier League Leaders, Bo Rangers has extended their lead at the top of the Sierra Leone Premier League (SLPL) after defeating Diamond Stars by a goal to nil.
The match took place on Sunday 4th February 2024 at the Koidu football field in Kono. The match started with high intensity from the both teams where there were a lot of chances created by the both teams in the first half of play but the match ended goalless in the first half.
In the second half of play, the host Diamond Stars were in high gear to take the lead but everything went in favour of Bo Rangers after they introduction of Abubakar Kanu (Cavani) in the 86th minutes and he scored in the 87th minutes with his first touch that helped the visitors to take the lead and eventually won the match by one goal to nil.
Bo Rangers new signing Mohamed Turay popularly known as “Medo Messi” was in action and his deputy was welcome with a win against the giant of Kono-Diamond Stars Football Club. Bo Rangers are still leading the SLPL but there’s still a long way to go. The games are getting more momentum but let’s wait and see how things unfold.
