The Administration Officer at Seaside Hotel Peter said ran out of words when he appeared before the Committee on Tourism and Cultural Affairs in the House Parliament.

Seaside Hotel is located at Aberdeen in Freetown. The committee is chaired by Hon. Mohamed Rahman Coker Sheriff and it is charged with the responsibility to probe into the activities of the various hotels operating in Sierra Leone.According to the chairperson of the committee, Hon. Mohamed Rahman Coker Sheriff Seaside Hotel’s Admin Officer was served with a letter from the committee’s clerk demanding them to procedure the relevant documents before the committee and at same time to answer to the various queries raised in the Auditor General’s Report.

Hon. Mohamed Billoh Shaw, representing Falaba District described Seaside Hotel’s Admin Officer as a contempt of court, admitting that it was a deliberate act on the part of said hotel failing to submit the necessary documents they were supposed to submit before the committee. The committee’s clerk, whose name was not disclosed, served the hotel but they woefully failed to do the needful as required of them.

The committee further instructed the Admin Officer, who refused to disclose this medium for reason best known to him to tell the General Manager of Seaside Hotel to avail himself before committee today Tuesday 27th February 2024 10am prompt with all the relevant documents listed in the letter.
