Sierra Leone’s peace Ambassador Alhaji Amadu Bah stage name King boss LA, a popular rapper was released after spending five consecutive days in police custody in the Kenema, regional police station eastern of the country. The rapper was detained on Sunday, May 5, 2024 on allegations ranging from assault, robbery among other offences which he vehemently denied.
His release comes after a resolution came about through the intervention of prominent figures within Sierra Leone’s entertainment and political spheres.
According to sources gathered by FORUM NEWS, the former Commissioner-General, National Revenue Authority (NRA), Chief Ibrahim Brima Swaray, the former president of Sierra Leone All Stars Union Base Aphonyx, along with DJ Snow among political actors played pivotal roles in settling the matter.
In a phone interview with the Media Officer attached to the Kenema Division, Inspector Prince Jagboi Kamara, the matter was resolved amicably out of court. He confirmed that the LAJ had left Kenema. “The matter has been resolved and they have left for Freetown” Inspector Kamara confirmed…
The intervention of the aforementioned names resonated the successfully resolved the accusations of assault and threats levelled against Boss LA by the Kenema Mayor.
For his part, Mayor Thomas Baio of Kenema City Council said that the matter has been resolved and there is no report of injury. “A high-powered delegation comes from Freetown and the matter has been solved” he pointed but refused to speak about the allegations he had already levelled against the rapper.
Baio had alleged the missing fourteen piece especially of diamonds, an amount of Twenty-Four Thousand Leones (NLe240,000) among others King boss LA got an appointment from President Julius Maada Bio earlier this year after he was granted freedom through a presidential prerogative of the presidency.
