Following their 7:0 trashing to the Liberian side in the WAFU female tournament in Senegal, The Sierra Leone National U20 Female team has today Saturday, May 25 faced a disappointing exit from the ongoing WAFU U20 Female Tournament in Senegal.

The Shooting Starlets has bowed out of the competition following their 2-0 defeat to their Guinean counterparts in their third Group B match.

The loss, combined with earlier results, where they lost to Liberian 7:0 and despite winning their first match by 2:0 was not enough for them to make it to the next stage and it’s left the team with 3 points.

The match against Guinea was crucial for Sierra Leone’s hopes of advancing, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to secure the needed victory. The team showcased moments of skill and determination throughout the tournament, but ultimately fell short of progressing to the next stage.

Their early elimination is a setback, yet the experience gained will be invaluable for future competitions.
