In the early hours of Friday, May 31, 2024, the Leone Stars’ delegation arrived safely at Casablanca Mohammed V Airport aboard a Royal Air Maroc flight.The delegation includes SLFA Vice President and leader of delegation Harold Nat Johnson, Parliamentary Oversight Sports Committee Chairman Hon. Hindolo Moiwo Gavao, NSA Director of Participation Steven Kelfala, SLFA Director of Competition Sorie Ibrahim Sesay, Mohamed Bowen Freeman National Safety and Security Officer, National Coordinator James Fofanah (JJ), Leone Stars Head Coach Amidu Karim and team, medical team, home-based players, and sports journalists from various media houses.
According to the head coach, most of the foreign-based players are expected to arrive today, with the final batch of players scheduled to arrive on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
The team is currently lodged at the Pullman Hotels and Resorts in Al-Jadida.
Reports indicate that the Djibouti delegation has also arrived in Casablanca, Morocco, in preparation for their match against Sierra Leone on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
