Japanese J-League side Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo has confirmed the acquisition of Sierra Leone’s international striker Amadou Bakayoko on a permanent deal.
“We are pleased to announce that Amadou Bakayoko has joined us on a permanent transfer from Dundee FC (Scotland). He will wear the number 20 jersey. He will undergo a medical examination and is scheduled to sign a formal contract.” a club statement confirms.
The 28-year-old Sierra Leonean international striker is Consa’s sixth addition with the Red Lantern currently sitting bottom of the J.League standings with 15 points after 24 games.
The ex-Wallsall, Coventry City, Bolton Wanderers, and Forest Green Rovers striker spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Dundee FC and netted six times for the club in the Scottish Premiership.
