Santigie Kamara, a 26-year-old who is unemployed, Monday, 13th January, 2025, made his appearance before Magistrate Santigie Bangura of Pademba Road Court No. 2 on one count charge of Larceny by Servant Contrary to Section 17 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on a date between the months of April, 2024 and July 2024 at Golden Beach Casino Beach Road- Aberdeen, in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone, being a clerk employed by the said casino, the accused stole Casino betting Chips valued at Six Hundred and Seventy-Nine Thousand Five Hundred and Ninety Leones (NLe 679,590), property of Golden Beach Casino.
The Lead prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police- Joan Bull, sought for bench warrant from the magistrate because the accused was not present. Magistrate Bangura gave bench warrant for the accused person and surety. The case was adjourned to the 20th of January, 2025, for further proceedings.
