The head coach of the Sierra Leone senior women’s national team- Sierra Queens, Hassan Malik Mansaray, has officially announced the invitation of 30 players to commence training on February 3, 2025.
The training session will take place at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Academy Field in Kingtom, Freetown, starting at 12 PM. This initiative marks a significant step in the team’s preparation for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as they gear up for their preliminary round match against Benin next month.
Coach Mansaray has emphasized the importance of the upcoming training sessions, highlighting that the team’s performance in the qualifiers would be instrumental in shaping the future of women’s football in Sierra Leone.
The preparation period is critical, as the Sierra Queens aim to create a strong foundation for success in the competition. “We are committed to ensuring that the team is fully prepared for the challenges that lie ahead.
