The Council of Imams in Bo has called at the Tokpoi Town residence of Alhaji Dr. Kanja Sesay to convey the joy and appreciation of the Muslim community in Bo over his wellbeing and to keep him posted on a number of developments that border on Islam in the district.
Speaker after speaker lauded the contributions of Pa Kanja to the overall growth and consolidation of Islam in Bo in particular and the south and entire country in general. They thanked God for having graciously superintended over his gradual recovery and conveyed the happiness of the Muslim community in Bo with the way he has championed the growth of Islam.
The Chairman of Imam Council, Alhaji Osman Kaiwoin, briefed Pa Kanja on the status of the proposed construction of an Islamic Centre in Bo, noting that a lot of work has been done and that the project is on course.
He appealed to Pa Kanja to work tirelessly, as he is used to working, to ensure the remainder of the Islamic leaders who are yet to perform their pilgrimage do so.
In response, Alhaji Kanja Seasy, delivered a message of exhortation in which he stressed the need for perseverance in adversity.
He expressed delight at their visit, adding that such a move was not a surprise to him because they had forged a very strong bond built on love and respect.
Pa Kanja said he was happy to meet a tranquil setting or atmosphere within the Muslim community on his return to Bo.
He assured the religious leaders that he will make follow-ups on the Islamic centre project as well as work on other requests.
He donated three boxes of the Holy Quran to the religious leaders and admonished them to be steadfast in their faith.
