The MoU marks a strategic move to enhance inter-agency coordination, streamline operations, and jointly address revenue leakages across the petroleum and maritime sectors, that are the two key contributors to national revenue.

Present at the ceremony were Commissioner General of the NRA, Mrs. Jeneba J. Bangura, who hosted the event; Director General of the NPRA, Mr. Brima Baluwa Koroma; and Mr. Hassan Lahai, representing the (SLMA). In her key note address, Madam Bangura urged all parties to translate the MoU into a concrete action, emphasizing that its values lies in implementation, not formality.

All three institutions reaffirmed their commitment to working together to close compliance gaps, improve information sharing, and ensure more efficient revenue collection through unified systems and regulatory oversight.

The MoU outlines key areas of collaboration, including joint technical engagements, policy harmonisation, and capacity building, positioning the partnership as a vital step toward achieving greater transparency, operational synergy, and long-term fiscal sustainability.
