From April 18 to 19, Ambassador Wang Qing was invited to attend the 119th anniversary celebration of Bo School. He gathered with H.E. President Julius Maada Bio and his wife H.E. First Lady Fatima Bio, as well as the Chief Justice, Chief Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education and other alumni, teachers and students of Bo School and people from all walks of life to celebrate the event.
As a special guest speaker at the event, Ambassador Wang Qing comprehensively introduced the historical logic, achievements and world significance of Chinese modernization. He said that China is comprehensively promoting the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation with Chinese modernization. China is willing to work with Sierra Leone to implement the ten major partnership actions proposed by H.E. President Xi Jinping to promote modernization between China and Africa, promote the continuous progress of China-Sierra Leone friendly cooperation, and jointly write a new chapter in building a community with a shared future for mankind.
Ambassador Wang Qing also cut the ribbon and unveiled the newly completed student dormitory building “Beijing Building” of Bo School with H.E. President Bio. “Beijing Building” is the fifth student dormitory building of Bo School and the only building named after a Chinese city in Sierra Leone schools.
