His Excellency Salamu Koroma, Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the Islamic Republic of Iran, on Sunday, 20th July, signed the Book of Condolence for the late Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, at the Nigerian Embassy in Tehran.

The late President Buhari passed away on Sunday, 13th July 2025, in London while receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness. He was 82 years old.

Born on 17th December 1942 in Daura, Northern Region, the late President was married to two wives and was a father of ten children. A retired military officer, he governed Nigeria as a military Head of State from 1983 to 1985, and later as a democratically elected President from 2015 to 2023 under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
