The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐, departs Freetown this evening on his first official international assignment since assuming office.He will be accompanied by the Acting General Secretary, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐จ๐ก๐๐ฆ๐๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฌ๐จ๐ง ๐๐๐ฐ๐จ๐ก, during the ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ญ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐, scheduled to take place on Sunday, 24 August 2025, in Kampala, Uganda. The Acting General Secretary will return to Sierra Leone immediately after the Roundtable, while President Kamara continues with his international engagements.
The Roundtable will focus on the implementation and application of the new CAF IMPACT regulations, a flagship initiative designed to strengthen governance, infrastructure, and the use of development funds provided by CAF to its Member Associations.
While in Uganda, President Kamara will also watch the Semi-Final and 3rd Place matches of the ongoing ๐๐จ๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐ก๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ (๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐) before proceeding to Nairobi, Kenya.
In Nairobi, he will join CAF President ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ฌ๐๐ฉ๐ and other Presidents of CAF Member Associations for an in-person strategic meeting on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The high-level meeting will take place on the same day as the final of the CHAN Tournament.
The Nairobi discussions will address several critical issues central to the growth of African football, including:
