Eastern Freetown came to a standstill on Friday, September 26th, as an unprecedented crowd of worshippers and supporters gathered at the Gaddafi Mosque to join Dr. Kaifala Marah for Jummah Prayers.
The mosque and its surroundings could not contain the multitude, with worshippers overflowing onto Main Bai Bureh Road, eager to secure a space for prayers and to catch a glimpse of Dr. Marah afterwards.
During the service, special supplications were offered for the APC leadership, unity among aspirants, the souls of fallen comrades, the grassroots supporters who remain the backbone of the Party, the upcoming lower-level elections, and for Dr. Marah himself in his new role as APC Chief Negotiator for the National Unity Agreement.
This moment of prayer, reflection, and massive turnout reflected not only the deep respect Sierra Leoneans have for Dr. Marah, but also their unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of the APC.
The East has shown that the sun is rising, with the promise of strength, unity, and victory for the APC and the people of Sierra Leone.
