To celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Kabala Secondary School on 21st November this year in Kabala, Northern Sierra Leone, the Kabala Secondary School Alumni Association (KSSAA), North America will be organizing a dinner and dance on 8th November 2025 at the EKKONE CONFERENCE CENTER, 7953 ANNAPOLIS ROAD, LANHAM, MD 20706 from 8pm-3am. The event is expected to be fun and dancing where guests will meet old friends and make new ones in addition to the fact that dancing can take away stress and makes one happy.
In her felicitation message to fellow alumni, Sally Saffa Benjamin, the President of KASSNA revealed that she is personally reaching out to inform members about the current state of their beloved Alma Mater lamenting that the school is in dire need of renovation as the condition of the buildings is heart-breaking adding that they are launching a major restoration project that can only be achieved with the generous support of sponsors.
She underscored, “the School of the North, the School of Our Hearts.”
Sally Benjamin kindly appealed to all alumnus to contribute $120 as annual dues to help kick-start the renovation project asserting that this is just the beginning and assured that with the support of alumni they would be able to launch additional initiatives to restore and uplift the school that shaped their lives.
According to the KSSAA President, old pupils should not forget the role their Alma Mater played in making them who they are today as productive and successful citizens in society contributing to create impact in various fields at home and abroad.
“Our school was there for us when we needed her most. Now, she needs us. Please, let’s not turn our backs on her. Our dear school gave us the foundation to become better people, and this is our chance to give back,” she passionately appealed.
The KSSAA executive members are the President, Sally Saffa Benjamin, Financial Secretary, Mohamed Allieu Bah, David B. Mansaray, Secretary General, Isatu Sheku, Social Secretary and Kawusu Sangarie, Public Relations Officer.
