Freetown, 10 October 2025 — The Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) is dedicated to providing its customers with the highest quality banking experience, and as part of this commitment, the bank has announced the temporary closure of its Wilkinson Road Branch, located at the Aberdeen Road Junction, effective Monday, 20th October 2025.

This closure is essential for ongoing rehabilitation works aimed at enhancing the safety and service delivery environment for all customers.

In an official statement, SLCB emphasized that this decision was made with the utmost consideration for customer safety and convenience. During the renovation period, all operations previously conducted at the Wilkinson Road Branch will be redirected to the nearby SLCB Congo Cross Branch, conveniently located along Main Motor Road next to the NP Congo Cross Filling Station.

The bank sincerely regrets any inconvenience this temporary closure may cause and encourages customers to continue accessing banking services through various alternative channels. These include the relocated Branch at Congo cross and nearby branches at Lumley and Youyi Building, as well as the bank’s innovative digital platforms such as the SLCB Mobile App, Mi Yone SLCB Moni Wallet, Corporate Internet Banking, and the USSD service via *944#.

SLCB’s commitment to modernization and customer satisfaction remains unwavering. The ongoing rehabilitation project is a testament to the bank’s dedication to ensuring that customers receive reliable, convenient, and secure banking solutions. By enhancing the branch facilities, SLCB aims to create an even more welcoming and efficient environment for all clients.

As a leading financial institution in Sierra Leone, SLCB prioritizes the needs and safety of its customers, reinforcing its position as a bank that genuinely cares for its clientele. The bank looks forward to welcoming customers back to a refreshed and improved Wilkinson Road Branch upon completion of the renovations
