Friday 16th January 2026//Freetown, Sierra Leone — Ambassador Omrie Golley has returned to Sierra Leone at a defining moment for the All People’s Congress (APC) party, declaring his firm resolve to stand, defend, and unite the party now more than ever before.

On his return to Freetown, Ambassador Golley stressed that the APC must rise above internal divisions and personal interests to reclaim its strength, credibility, and leadership role in national politics.

“The APC is our political home. It must be protected, defended, and strengthened at all costs,” Golley declared. “This is not a time for division. This is a time to unite, mobilize, and rebuild our great party together.”

A seasoned diplomat, legal practitioner, and peace advocate, Ambassador Golley reaffirmed that his political mission has always been about service, inclusion, and discipline within the party. He called on APC members across the country — elders, executives, youths, women, and the diaspora — to close ranks and focus on the collective future of the party.

According to Golley, unity within the APC is the most powerful weapon against political intimidation, injustice, and external interference. He emphasized that a strong and united APC remains essential to protecting democracy and offering hope to millions of Sierra Leoneans.

“Our strength lies in our unity,” he said. “When the APC stands together, no force can weaken us. I am ready to play my part in ensuring that our party emerges stronger, more focused, and more disciplined than ever before.”

Supporters welcomed Ambassador Golley’s return as a morale booster, describing his message as timely and reassuring to grassroots members who have long called for reconciliation and decisive leadership within the party.

As the APC continues its internal reorganization and prepares for future political battles, Ambassador Omrie Golley’s renewed commitment sends a clear signal: the call for unity is urgent, the mission is clear, and the time to act is now.
