Sheikh Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, a flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress party, popularly known as Jagaban, has made a major financial contribution toward strengthening the party’s presence in the Northwest Region ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Jagaban donated NLe 1,187,500 in Masiaka, Port Loko District, to support the extension and improvement of the APC Northwest Regional Party Office, also known as Bai Bureh Hall. The donation is aimed at enhancing the facility to better serve party members and officials as the APC intensifies preparations for future political activities.
The contribution forms part of Jagaban’s broader effort to support party rebuilding and mobilization at the regional and district levels. Party supporters at the event described the donation as timely and strategic, noting that strong party infrastructure is essential for effective organization and grassroots engagement.
In addition to his support for party structures, Jagaban also demonstrated a message of inclusivity and national unity by donating NLe 200,000 to several churches and a mosque in Masiaka. The gesture was welcomed by community leaders, who said it reflects peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among people of different religious backgrounds.
The donation to the party was formally received by senior APC officials, including the Northwest Regional Chairman, Hon. Kombo Kamara, Port Loko District Chairman Mr Alie Summah, Kambia District Chairman Dr Adikali Sesay, and Karene District Chairman Mr Amadu Bangura. Party executives praised Jagaban for his commitment and described his support as a boost to party morale in the region.
Addressing party members and supporters, Jagaban said Sierra Leone needs meaningful transformation driven by strong leadership and practical action. He stated that he has both the vision and financial capacity required to bring about positive change within the APC and the country at large.
He emphasized that financial strength is a key factor in effective political mobilization, party development, and election readiness. According to him, rebuilding the APC and returning the party to governance will require serious investment, discipline, and collective effort.
Jagaban also called for unity within the APC, warning against division and factionalism. He pledged to work with all existing party structures and stakeholders if given the mandate, stressing that inclusiveness would be central to his leadership approach.
He paid tribute to former President Ernest Bai Koroma, acknowledging his contributions to the party and the nation. Jagaban reaffirmed his strong ties to the Northwest Region, describing it as a vital pillar of the APC’s support base.
The event attracted a large turnout of party supporters and community members, creating an atmosphere of optimism and renewed confidence. It concluded with the presentation of an Award of Recognition to Jagaban in appreciation of his leadership, commitment, and contributions to the growth of the All Peoples Congress.
