Warm greetings to you, esteemed members of the All Peoples Congress (APC).

As our respected party continues its internal electoral process, the Dr. Ibrahim Bangura’s (DIB) Movement wishes to address the wider membership regarding the tone and conduct that should guide us during this important democratic exercise.

Qcell Qcell Qcell

The internal elections of our party should be an event that enhances our unity, deepens our democratic principles, and strengthens our respect for one another as comrades striving towards a shared goal. While healthy debate and competition are natural in any democratic process, it is important that such engagement remains respectful and constructive.

However, we have noticed, with concern, that exchanges among supporters have become unnecessarily confrontational, including attacks and unhelpful comments directed at fellow members and supporters of other candidates. This does not reflect the values our party upholds.

The DIB Movement respectfully urges all supporters and well-wishers to avoid attacking, insulting, or provoking fellow party members, whether in person, at meetings, or on social media. We encourage everyone to stay calm and uphold the values of peace, mutual respect, discipline, and decorum throughout the electoral process. Let us remember that beyond this contest, we remain members of one party, united by a shared vision and responsibility to the people we serve.

Supporters are encouraged to promote their preferred candidates through ideas, policies, and positive engagement, rather than hostility or division. The strength of our party lies in our ability to compete with dignity and emerge from the process even more united. The DIB Movement remains fully committed to a peaceful, transparent, and credible internal election, and we believe that with the cooperation of all members, this process will further strengthen our party and its democratic traditions.

We thank the wider membership for their continued dedication and commitment to upholding peace and unity within the party.
