As part of his ongoing tour of the southeast, the leader of the most irganised APC campaign, Dr. Ibrahim Bangura has congratulated winners of recent ward elections In Pujehun and encouraged them to be magnanimous in their victory.
He used the visit to reinforced what he has become known for- his message of peace, unity and discipline within the party, urging members to avoid elections malpractices and to remain united ahead of future internal contests.
He expressed confidence that the DIB Movement would produce both the next APC flag bearer and the country’s next president, inviting supporters in Kenema District to be part of what he described as a “history-making journey.”
Meanwhile, in Pujehun, Dr. Bangura struck a more reflective tone, emphasising his roots within the APC. “I am a son of the APC – born and bred,” he said, referencing his father, M.L. Bangura, a founding and revered figure in the party’s youth league.
He commended local party leadership, particularly District Chairman Mohamed Amadu Sesay, aka Dr. Woo for loyalty and service, and explained that his decision to visit Pujehun is a deliberate recognition of the district’s contribution to the party.
Calling for tolerance and inclusivity, Dr. Bangura urged Pujehun residents to welcome other aspirants as they have done to him. He reiterated his message of party unity and gratitude, congratulated ward election winners, and called for cohesion within party ranks.
With back-to-back engagements in the districts of the south-eastern regions, Dr. Bangura is intensifying his grassroots outreach and campaign, positioning himself as both a unifier and the lead contender determined to reshape the APC and by extension, Sierra Leone’s political future.
