Hon Roseline Jariatu Smith has expressed strong confidence that the All People’s Congress will secure victory in the 2028 general elections, stating that the scale of the party’s anticipated win would make any form of electoral manipulation impossible.

Speaking during an appearance on Liberty Online TV, the APC figure said she believes the party is gaining significant support across the country and is well positioned to take over governance at the next election cycle. According to her, the level of public backing expected for the APC would be so overwhelming that concerns about rigging would not arise.

She maintained that the political momentum appears to be shifting, with many citizens showing increased interest in change. Hon Smith noted that this growing support reflects dissatisfaction in some quarters and a desire among voters to see a different approach to leadership.

During the discussion, she also referenced the role of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone, expressing the view that the commission’s leadership would not be able to influence the outcome of the election if the will of the people is clearly demonstrated at the polls. Her comments come amid ongoing public discourse about electoral transparency and credibility in the country.

Hon Smith used the platform to call on supporters and the general public to remain calm and patient as the country moves toward the next electoral cycle. She emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability while allowing democratic processes to take their course.

She further encouraged party loyalists to stay focused and continue engaging communities across the country. According to her, consistent outreach and unity within the party will be key factors in achieving the desired outcome in 2028.

Political observers say such statements are part of early positioning by parties and their representatives as attention gradually turns toward the next general elections. They note that confidence building messages are often used to energize supporters and strengthen party structures ahead of campaigns.

While her remarks have been welcomed by APC supporters, they are also likely to draw responses from other political actors as discussions around the 2028 elections continue to gain traction.

The road to the next general elections remains several years away, but comments like these highlight the increasing political engagement within the country. As parties begin to outline their visions and expectations, citizens are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future through participation in the democratic process.

For now, Hon Roseline Jariatu Smith’s message remains one of confidence, urging supporters to trust the process and believe in what she describes as an inevitable victory for the APC in 2028.
